How to top up balance with QRIS

QRIS is not limited to Indonesia. Thanks to cross-border QR payments, the same code we generate for your top up can also be scanned from partner countries — for example with a PromptPay-enabled app in Thailand such as Bangkok Bank. Pay in your own currency, the balance lands in your NumVersal account instantly.

Top up in 5 steps

  1. Sign in to NumVersal and open Dashboard → Top up.
  2. Enter the amount you want to add and choose QRIS as the payment method.
  3. A QRIS code appears on screen (a 1% processing fee is added, the full amount still lands in your balance).
  4. Open your banking or e-wallet app, choose Scan QR, and scan the code. Cross-border apps show the amount converted to your local currency before you confirm.
  5. Confirm with your PIN. Once paid, the code turns into a paid check mark and your balance updates automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay a QRIS code from outside Indonesia?

Yes. If your bank or wallet app supports cross-border QR — for example PromptPay in Thailand, DuitNow QR in Malaysia, NETS in Singapore, or UnionPay/Alipay in China — you can scan the code directly and pay in your own currency.

Which currency am I charged in?

The merchant amount is in Indonesian rupiah. Your app converts it and shows the final amount in your local currency before you confirm the payment.

How long does the balance take to arrive?

Usually within seconds after the payment is settled. The QRIS panel switches to a paid state and your balance is updated without refreshing.

What if my payment expires?

Unpaid top ups expire after 1 hour. Nothing is charged — simply create a new top up and scan the fresh code.
